Korean-born, New York-based Jinkee Choi takes ordinary objects - toothpaste tubes, packaging, and glasses - as points of departure for an exploration of what he calls "the Unconsciousness World." What he has presented through his work is the fantasy or illusion that occurs in the moment of ambiguous acts of gazing. Such flitting random thoughts are often forgotten as we cross our mind just like a flashlight. Yet he seizes the moment and transforms it into his work.
