I develop my interdisciplinary practice to explore personal and cultural economies of knowledge through familiar artifacts. The works I make, which have included ephemeral clay installations, large-scale drawings and printed media are inspired by philosophical conflicts presented in our everyday encounters with images, objects and information. These cultural artifacts serve as resource materials in many of my works, which I typically gather through on-going cataloguing. My works function as a means to question information’s conceptual and hierarchical value, challenge the boundaries of authoritative reasoning and make evident my own implications within a larger socio-political drama.
