"Lost and Found" presents work by artists who retrieve and recycle materials, objects, images and text with a '90s understanding of social content and a disregard for traditional boundaries between sculpture, painting, photography, film and video. Both high and low tech in approach, the work investigates various processes/practices of hunting, gathering sorting, saving and representing within contemporary urban and rural environments.

This exhibition will take place in Smack Mellon Studios' new 7,000 square foot alternative space at 81 Washington Street in D.U.M.B.O., Brooklyn in collaboration with Gale Gates et al. and Creative Resource and Production, Inc.
