A project by Jennifer Dalton for Smack Mellon
‘What is the Art World Thinking?’ is a year long survey project that will take the pulse of the artgoing public on a variety of issues, ranging from feminism to philanthropy to politics to parenthood.
Visitors to Smack Mellon will be invited to take a very short anonymous survey consisting of one or two questions. Each individual survey will be specifically tailored to the exhibition on view during the survey period, with the goal of fostering viewer engagement with the ideas and concepts inspired by each exhibition.
The year long survey is a work in and of itself, but the results may be harvested for future projects as well.
