This discussion brings together five artists from our current exhibition, Beauty Underfoot. The panelists will comment on their own use of unconventional art materials or seemingly banal subject matter, speak about the challenges and rewards of working in Smack Mellon’s unique space, and talk about the use of didactics by curators and institutions in relation to their own work.
