A collaboration between composer Paula Matthusen and choreographer Abigail Levine, Two: Related Parts is a duet of marking time.The sculptural movement vocabulary is shaped around the sound it produces. The piece draws its sound from resonances of physical action and feedback. The work melds together the discrete with the continuous, repetition with accumulation, and effort with trace. The performance takes place around Jarrod Beck’s gallery-filling sculptural installation The Moon, comprised of 500 sheets of handmade cast paper.
