Press Play music series featuring Larry Krone

Smack Mellon presents Press Play, a concert series featuring new local
musicians, on the first Thursday of every month held in conjunction with the Dumbo First Thursday Gallery Walk.

Artist/entertainer, singer/songwriter Larry Krone is known as much for his understated style of sad song selling as for his overstated stage presence complete with customized ukuleles and hand-stitched & studded western stage costumes.  Krone has performed at art and music venues in New York including The Whitney Museum, The Project Gallery, PS 122, and the Living Room and can be seen semi-regularly at Joe’s Pub performing in the monthly variety show, “Our Hit Parade”.  His frequent collaborators include Jim Andralis, Janet & Randy Kennedy, Pablo Helguera, Kenny Mellman, Bridget Everett, Neal Medlyn, Clint Michigan, and Amy Bezunartea among others.  A full length CD of Larry Krone’s music was commissioned and published by the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis as part of the multimedia limited edition box set accompanying his 10 year retrospective held there in 2006.
